Pathways to Education is available to high school students in Regent Park, Moss Park, and Rivertowne. To register, students must live within the designated catchment area. Proof of address (such as a driver's license or utility bill) is required to confirm residency. If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact the office for more details. There is no cost to participate in the program. In fact, students can benefit from financial support like gift cards and post-secondary scholarships, which are provided to assist with transportation and other needs.
Tutoring Options:
Homework Club: A quiet space for students to drop in and complete their homework after school. Snacks and supplies are provided.
1-on-1 Tutoring: Students can schedule time for personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions with experienced tutors, including retired teachers, current educators, and university students. Tutoring is available four evenings a week.
In-Person Tutoring: Available both as a drop-in service and by scheduled appointments. In-person tutoring takes places on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Virtual Tutoring: Available on Mondays by appointment only, providing flexible support for students who prefer or need remote assistance.

Parent Engagement: Parents can support their child’s involvement by maintaining communication with the Student Parent Support Worker (SPSW) and attending parent-focused events or workshops. Pathways encourages families to stay engaged in the educational journey.
Volunteer Involvement: The program may offer opportunities for students to volunteer and get involved with the community, whether through tutoring, event organization, or other initiatives. For more information about specific volunteer roles, students can reach out to the program coordinator or your students SPSW.
